Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ Creality 3D Tempered Surface: High-Quality 310X310X4Mm Printing Bed by Robert Aiono

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The seal doesn't stick. I had to use glue stick. No better than a regular glass bed.

I used a fairly thin piece of glass for the bed that I had cut out at a local glass shop. Everything was fine with the glue stick. Nothing special or anything like that. Enter this product - I figured I needed a thicker piece of glass that would accommodate the warping of the aluminum platform a little better than the thin piece I had. The special coating, which should adhere perfectly without glue or hairspray, lured me to the much cheaper mirror tile. Arrived a few days after ordering. After placing it on the aluminum platform, preheating the nozzle and platform, attaching the glass to the platform, and leveling the platform with a piece of standard printer paper, I began with a simple small rectangular print. Immediately in the first layer, the print came off by itself. I tightened the layer on the printer again using a piece of standard printer paper (only thicker this time). Printing quickly failed again. I adjusted my level and did it three or four more times. I rinsed the glass platform with water as instructed (and of course I had already removed the protective film) and made sure everything was properly installed and aligned. Even with casts too close to the bed, they came off too easily and too soon. Finally I used good old fashioned glue and the prints held up well. 2/5 Because it's a thicker piece of glass than you might like, or at least comparable to a mirror tile. But save yourself the hassle and money and buy 6 packs of mirror tiles at the hardware store and use a glue stick. This special coating does not improve adhesion.
