No surprises with this D1 mini NodeMcu clone from FTCBlock. Plugged it into my Windows 10 desktop with the micro USB cable I had and booted into the Arduino IDE. Open the BasicOTA sketch found in Arduino under File -> Examples -> ArduinoOTA to enable the over-the-air module update feature. Before that, I selected "ESPino (ESP 12E)β as the circuit board in the "Extrasβ menu. Uploading the sketch with these settings went fine, so I tried uploading the sketch over the air after noting the IP address assigned to the module. Using SpaceHuhn's deauthentication detector as a test sketch, the sketch was updated over the air, like the nifty little D1 module it is. Good boy, ESPino. Good boy. I gotta love it when these things work out of the box like they should. Life is good when you have good modules. That's a good module. Bonus - comes with three types of pins, because who doesn't love having options?
