It works, but there are questions about quality and price

I was excited to try the ESP8266 as a base for my next project. This board seemed like a good option, although the price for a single board is a bit above average. No documentation comes with it, and I couldn't figure out what firmware it came with, so I just downloaded the sketch from the Arduino IDE, which worked great. I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the board. We see clear signs of change. A resistor and capacitor on the back were clearly touched by someone with averageโ€ฆ

Connects to a Windows PC with a Micro USB cable and installs using the Arduino IDE with NodeMCU settings. I wish there were additional paper instructions in the package, or at least a website for those unfamiliar with NodeMCU.

Small but impressive!

I'm a big fan of NodeMCU devices and have done quite a few development and hobby projects with them. This device is very small! I knew the mini form factor existed, but haven't been able to use it yet. I had no trouble plugging it in and connecting to the Arduino IDE and can't wait to use it for my next project!

Works perfectly. - Network transceiver

I love these little circuit boards. They are cheap and light. I ran the mandatory flashing from the Arduino IDE to test this. Set the board to "LOLIN (WEMOS) D1 R2 & mini" and you're done. The video shows that it really works. Someone mentioned that the picture was blown up so I took some photos with a tape measure. Then I realized that the board is smaller than the roulette wheel. That's one of the good things about them. They can be glued almost anywhere. This will most likely end up in aโ€ฆ

Works like a charm right out of the box.

No surprises with this D1 mini NodeMcu clone from FTCBlock. Plugged it into my Windows 10 desktop with the micro USB cable I had and booted into the Arduino IDE. Open the BasicOTA sketch found in Arduino under File -> Examples -> ArduinoOTA to enable the over-the-air module update feature. Before that, I selected "ESPino (ESP 12E)โ€ as the circuit board in the "Extrasโ€ menu. Uploading the sketch with these settings went fine, so I tried uploading the sketch over the air after noting the IP

So Small Networking Products

This is a larger image of this device, it is actually much smaller. Overall good build quality and works as it should. USB powered, it's highly portable and ideal for your smart home projects.
