Review on πŸ” AIMOS 4 Port HDMI 2.0 KVM Switch Box with Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Support, USB Hub Port, UHD 4K@60Hz, 3D, and 1080P by Chris Moody

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Basically works - Updated

Update 9/30/21: It's been a year since I bought this. It still works. Update 10/05/2020: I purchased a "Koolertron One Handed Macro Mechanical Keyboard" here at Revain and moved the K70 keyboard connections to USB hub ports on the KVM and hooked up a 9 key keyboard to the keyboard. Harbor. I've programmed keys 1-4 on the keyboard to perform the sequences CTRL+CTRL+1 - CTRL+CTRL+4 and I can quickly switch between devices. This added about $45 to the overall price of the KVM, but it's now much more convenient to use and still brings the price to the level of other KVMs that support 4K@60Hz HDMI connections. I am increasing it from 3 to 4 stars. This is a review of "HDMI 4 Port Box KVM Switch, AIMOS HDMI 2.0 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse KVM Switch with USB Hub Port, UHD 4K @ 60Hz & 3D & 1080P Supported" sold by MI-TIME. I have a Corsair K70 mechanical keyboard and a Logitech M705 wireless mouse. I bought this KVM because it supports 4K@60Hz. So far this is working as expected. I have a mouse and keyboard connected to their respective ports on the KVM. My wireless mouse and keyboard work fine. The only issue I had was the ability to switch ports on KVM using a keyboard and mouse. This was also noted in another review. The keyboard shortcuts work when I put my K70 in "BIOS" mode, but that's not a very good solution. There are partial solutions where I can press Alt + Shift + Up Arrow and have the port switch to the next higher port. This sometimes causes KVM to report a stuck Alt or Shift key. If this KVM had a wired remote I would give it 5 stars. At the moment I can only reliably switch ports with a button on the front of the KVM, but that still requires me to cycle through all ports rather than going straight to a port.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • boring packaging
