Ready to use
The driver installed automatically on Win10 and worked immediately. The interface voltages are around -6 and +6 which is good for RS232 and the timing looks good on the oscilloscope (only tested at 9600bps). Correct processing of the DTS/DSR line and correct null modem connection for the connection with the DTE instrument (Agilent 34401A instrument). There were only problems with the client part of Windows. Tera Term fixed the issue (CR vs. LF with PuTTY). Several reviews miss this point: the cable is for a wired DTE with a 9-pin D-sub connector, and the cable has nothing to do with client software not doing its job.
