Exactly zero improvement for old stains.
Didn't do anything with the stains on my marble. I left the poultices on for 4-5 days and the spots didn't even lighten. It was a cheap experiment and, frankly, far from complete. Unfortunately I think if marble is stained then it is stained. Given that I couldn't even find a professional marble restorer confident that their grinding or polishing could remove the real stains, $5 clay is unlikely to work. If the stain is very fresh, you may be in luck. If it's old, I wouldn't waste your energy on it.
