This switch was purchased to enable printing to a laser inkjet printer without wireless communication from multiple devices. I've had the device for about 3 weeks and I still have it and it works exactly how I wanted it to. The Switch works on a plug and play basis, as I have one connection that stays firmly and permanently connected to my home computer and I leave the other end available to be connected to either my work laptop or one of my other personal laptops that belong to us. the family. As soon as I unplug one of the laptops and plug in the other, the switch instantly recognizes the device that just plugged in and is ready to send printed documents to our printer. In fact, the only difficulty in using this switch has nothing to do with the switch itself. The only difficulty I had was convincing the tech support staff at work to let me install the printer drivers for my home printer on my work laptop, as it didn't automatically recognize the printer and didn't install anything "non-working".
