Review on πŸ›οΈ CHPOWER Creality Removable Ultra-Flexible 235mm x 235mm Print Bed by Chris Cruz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I don't think this is an official Creality product, there are a few important things to note.

I have this for my Ender 5 but it's pretty much the same as Ender 3 (same build plate). I've noticed that the build surface is smoother than my Ender 5, which is actually a good thing. It's somewhere between a glass bed and a standard build surface. Adhesion was really great, I don't remember if the original build surface was that sticky but I haven't had any adhesion issues. When I replaced it, it was MUCH better than my standard desktop. The only real issue is that I didn't replace the heated magnets and had to rotate the work surface 90 degrees to get the front half to "snap into place". to the bed. This is not an event. UPDATE: I've downgraded this review to one star for one important reason: the bed doesn't stick to a standard magnetic bed nearly as well as the original. I recently had an issue where the work surface lifted off the bed slightly and my part wobbled back and forth because the work surface was really "sticking" to the bed. I still have to play with this a bit, I think the orientation is really important, and while it seemed like rotating the surface 90 degrees, I haven't tried 180 and 270. Maybe it sticks better the other way. In any case, it really should be a wacky proof, and it should be exactly like the original interface.

Pros
  • Spare parts and accessories for 3D printers
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
