Heaviest light weight ladder I've ever carried

This is a good ladder that could be even better. I felt the quality from the moment I twisted my shoulder as I tried to get it out of the box. This thing seems very heavy, but I say "seems" because when you unfold it you realize that the problem is that the weight that would normally be distributed over a large space is being compressed into a tiny volume . Once it opens it actually feels light, just like the description says. It's also a lot less intuitive than I'd like. It doesn't come with instructions, including attaching the lower brace. You will need to remove some of the plastic spacers from the slots before you can insert them. Also, it's really unintuitive and awkward to open, to the point where it's best done with 2 people. If you push one side too far without keeping the other side the same, you'll have to flip it on its side to continue. Spread your legs. I feel like there is only one corner available which is less flexible than some other stair offerings. However, from a certain angle it feels very solid, so I can't complain too much. The legs slide out so securely and are fixed so tightly that it's quite difficult to close them. You have to wiggle your legs a bit while pressing the locks, which is tricky. Again, a second person really helps because it's harder to close when it's crooked, meaning that once a foot slips onto a notch, the rest of the job literally becomes harder. Also, this "optimization-free" thing just doesn't work the way they want it to. All in all, once you've gotten over the learning curve, this is a good ladder at a fairly standard price for what you're getting. It also cleans well, which helps those of us with small garages. I give it 4 stars for the learning curve and the sheer bulkiness of the whole thing, but once open and in use there is no difference between it and a 5 star ladder.
