Wouldn't use it again if it was free.

I have used about half a dozen of these picks from at least 3 different manufacturers. The task of installing them through a 4" hole is never easy, but I've gotten good solid brackets on all previous projects. This particular model looks solid and is made of solid metal. and screw) like to jam, and the whole thing wants to roll to the side when tightened. Also, there are no grip points at the bottom of the "A" point to prevent rotation. So if you have exposed joists, like I have in both houses I've installed them in, the installation is less secure and more difficult to manage completely. To be honest there are better models out there and I wouldn't recommend this one.

Pros
  • FULLY ADJUSTABLE BRACKET — Installs between joists or rafters 16" to 24" center to center. The ends of the brackets are cut into the timber joist or rafter and hold the fan or bracket securely in place.
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
