I can't believe how awesome these little things are. I have vinyl siding and I'm hanging some house decorations (metal butterflies) and I've tried heavy duty 3m velcro. None of them like to stick to siding, they have texture. They slide so easily between the seams of the fairing and it's the physics that hold them in place. It solves all my problems and my Christmas lights that I light. No more those clear plastic clips without tape. There is only one downside and that is not these products' fault and that is that they can only slide between seams or side panels. Now I have facings so they can only go through every other row, so it's only a problem if you want to place the hook somewhere other than the seam. I can tell the end of the hook is 1/4" wide and will expand as it curves towards the body of the hook if that helps.
