The movement is basically a quick simple pull (although I've tried all sorts of things!) and the wire is stripped. The limiter works and there is an adjustment knob, but it's hard to tell what exactly is being adjusted (I ended up tracking rotations and trying lots of positions). I bought this because I need to assemble a wire harness using Amplime crimp contacts. and the stopper works great to consistently cut the right length. The problem I have is that real conductors get scratched. The removed piece of insulation often has up to three strands of wire. This was done with 24 gauge and 22 gauge wire. The standard connection cable and the highly flexible Alpha XtraGard were damaged. No amount of adjustment has stopped the scratching at all.
