I ordered this ladder as a bridge between my 6ft step ladder and my 30ft extension ladder. It works very well in this capacity. I (200 lb) feel pretty safe and steady on the ladder on even ground. Because there are so many segments to the ladder, it is somewhat more flexible than either of my other two ladders and I don’t know that I would trust it to carry a bundle of shingles up to the roof for example. For light duty use (painting, decorating) I think it works just fine.It is pretty light weight (22 lb) and collapses into a small size for storage. It is easy to extend and retract. There are a number of plastic components on the ladder but the main legs and rungs are aluminum.
