I turn off the water supply to the house when we are away on business. But the main thing is in the basement, and going down there hurts a lot. The Smart WiFi Shutoff Valve allows me to turn it on and off from my phone, eliminating bypass space. The installation seemed a bit difficult to me. The patterns were difficult to follow and at first didn't seem to fit at all. In the end I arranged the parts correctly and everything worked. I was concerned that it would work properly once installed as it grips the valve lever. But it works. I figured I'd have to pay a lot for a plumber to add an in-line motorized valve and an electrician for the wiring. This unit saved me a ton of money on plumbing and plugging into a 3-prong power strip, no electrician required. Setting up the phone app was pretty easy.
