To be honest, these shoes make me really nervous.

First off, let me say that I've been a personal trainer at my local gym for about 6 years. I'm not exactly an expert, but I have experience with running shoes and lifting weights for women is my niche. I'm not sure what I was expecting when I ordered these shoes, but I received a pair that I'm uncomfortable stepping into. For starters, I have the standard US women's size 9, EU40, which corresponds to a men's size 7. I'm a 7.5 and they are too small for me to wear. So the size is wrong. But even if not, the wedge makes no sense to me. It's so high that all of your weight is shifted to the forefoot, putting a lot more pressure on the quads and knees. When you have to push off with your heels while deadlifting. These shoes scare me. I can't imagine them being helpful, especially for people with knee problems.

Pros
  • The raised heel also reduces the risk of knee injuries and ankle sprains by keeping your feet planted on the ground during exercises like squats and deadlifts.
Cons
  • May not provide enough flexibility for certain exercises
