I gathered a lot of information before purchasing this particular meter. My actual focus at work will be electronics and car repairs. What attracted me to the AM-570 is the dual temperature sensor function, LoZ function, 60MHz frequency counter and dual display. The 60MHz frequency counter is the highest of any mid-range or even more professional meter I could find. Most only reach 1-20 MHz. The double display is actually very practical, for example when reading analog sensors, you can see the frequency and AC voltage at the same time. It is very solidly built and feels good. I really like this meter and I'm glad I took the time to research before choosing the one that was right for me. I suggest you do the same. The downsides I have are one: the no-touch voltage feature is basically useless. Almost NEVER works. Ignore this "feature" when looking at this meter. Second, the resistance readings seem very slow compared to other gauges I've used. He starts checking the resistance in each range, starting with the highest value and working his way down. So if you have something in the sub 600 ohm range the screen will remain blank until it sweeps through higher ranges and stops at your circuit value. It's not terrible, but it's a bit annoying that it's not faster than it is. If you were measuring batches of components, it would be terribly slow. Third, the stand is a bit weak. Works well but could be a bit stiffer for me.
