I used to cut ALL my patch and patch cords (and still cut a lot of them). However, when I started using 2.5, 5, and even 10 Gbps networks at home, it became easier to get patch cord kits to replace part of my short Cat5E collection. But I'll be honest. While flat cables are very easy to STORE, I haven't really enjoyed using them (because they allow for very small bend radii out of the connector). That was before the 10 foot Yurnero Cat8 Ethernet cable. First of all, the cable looks really good. I have a similar Morlecs cable in silver and black twill. This cable, on the other hand, has a silver-on-silver twill jacket that looks like open-weave carbon fiber (no epoxy, of course). The cable is also thick, which saves me from bend radius issues. There's a protective clip, but it's not one of those closed types (which usually bother me). There are no additional metal housings - instead there is an ordinary plastic connector with gold shielding. In general, the cable looks very high quality. It also established a flawless 10Gb/s connection between my XGS-5008 and my PC. At $11 (with a 10% coupon), this cable is on par with many similar products - so this cable is good, but not unique. recommended
