Based on reviews I am ordering a king size bed for a queen guest bed and there is enough, the sides and plenty on the bottom after washing in cold water and the Tumble dry low temperature according to the instructions. This blanket is 100% cotton, so expect a lot of lint in the dryer from any cotton blanket. It's fine, just remove the lint every 15-20 minutes and restart the dryer. No drama needed :) After drying, there were no more crazy fluffs left on the quilt other than those left in the dye trap. I have no idea what some of the other reviewers are doing to get fluff all over the bed after the dryer? My guess is that they don't clean the lint filter in their dryer so the lint stays on the comforter because the lint filter is full. The softness of the blanket will reflect your water. If you have hard water and don't use fabric softener, your comforter will be hard and scratchy. I used liquid fabric softener and the comforter was very soft.
