Frustration in a box

Ordered this one since I have a USB-C connection on my computer and wanted to connect it without having to do the 3-in-1, partially because I'd have to give up one of my monitors for the HDMI connection and partially because the supplied cable is far too short to reach where I need it to be set up on my desk (which is a reasonable 4-6 feet away). So I ordered a USB-C cable to go with it that would be suitably long enough to reach where it needed to go. When the tablet arrives, I can't connect the cable I bought to it since they've recessed the connectors on the tablet side, purely so they could attempt to force you to buy THEIR cable, which does nothing special besides have a slim enough connector to fit in the recess. Oh yeah and their cable is $60 for a 6 ft. cable, versus generally less than $20 often for a two pack from anyone else. So I found a post online from someone else who had already been in my shoes and they linked an adapter that would fit and extend the port so any cable could be plugged into it.So I order the adapter, and connect it up and it turns out my USB-C port is actually 3.1 not 3.2, so it doesn't work at all. So I connect it all up with the 3-in-1, and it works, but to make that happen I have to take one of my monitors out of the lineup, and given how I have them connected, it's not the one I wanted to drop. Oh and hooking up the 3-in-1 completely wrecks my desktop space making it completely unusable. So first I get a different kind of cable to keep the monitor I want still hooked up, then I order a USB-C extension cable to extend the reach of the USB-C end of the 3-in-1 and wow, shocker of a lifetime, we're back to it not working at all again. Oh yeah and the USB-C extension couldn't fit in the connector without the adapter I'd previously mentioned either. So now I'm not sure what to do moving forward, I guess I could try getting extensions for the other end of the 3-in-1 connector instead of just the 1, replace my entire motherboard (which is not even that old) to update my USB-C 3.1 connection to 3.2 since any add-in cards for it don't support passing a video signal, or just finally give up and send the whole thing back.So sure, I'm partially to blame by having a 3.1 instead of 3.2 connection which I didn't even realize was going to be a thing, but they're to blame for the recessed connectors, the abysmally short reach of the 3-in-1, and all of the litany of problems that have sprung up in relation to those things. For something that should be as simple as plugging it in and getting to work, this has been an incredibly irritating experience. Will never buy another Huion product ever again.Update, added a couple stars - got it working by extending the 3 parts of the 3-in-1 cable. Ignoring the hassle of getting it up and running, it's a nice bit of kit. Felt like it's worth a couple more stars.
