These impact sockets arrived oily and in a thin plastic holder. I cleaned the sockets and threw away the holder as it wouldn't fit in my toolbox drawer. However, I have been wanting to get SAE impact sockets, I've only had metric until now and never liked using my chrome SAE sockets with my impact gun, which I have had to do a few times. These are very well made 6 point 1/2 inch drive sockets with a thick wall to prevent cracking even under very stressful use.These sockets are nicer than what I've seen at the local discount tool store, although of course they aren't as good as the expensive name brands. For people who only occasionally need to use impact sockets, these should last a lifetime and I'd be shocked if you could break one of these, the bolt head would break off before the socket is damaged. I think anyone who has worked with a powerful impact wrench knows what I'm talking about, unfortunately.No complaints from me. These are what I've been looking for and although I don't do a ton of work on vehicles with imperial bolts, there are times when I do need them and they are nice to have on hand to complete my tool set.
