Update: after 4 years the spare part died, so I ordered and installed another one this week. But I kind of understand why: in the last 4 years so much dust/dirt has accumulated, everything was smeared and clogged. As others have said where is the protective gear when you make a change otherwise all the dirt will end up on your head and face. Between using the handheld vacuum and cleaning wipes, it took longer to clean than set up. Hope this one lasts longer. Please note: the metal frame of the part is now black instead of silver, but will still fit and function properly. Also note that Revain sells replacement grilles and diffusers separately if you choose not to clean and reuse. That. The grill is difficult to clean - I used pipe cleaners and it still ended up a little stained. I live in an old house from the 1920s. We have a very small shower room with an extractor hood that was probably installed 10-20 years ago, maybe longer. If anything, it was noisy and you could hear that sputtering sound when starting or turning off, like the engine was struggling. I would remove the motor assembly (the same one I bought from Revain) and pour some 3 in 1 oil into the motor shaft and that would make it better for a couple of weeks. But it's very difficult to get a ladder in this small space, take it out and do it over and over again. So when I was looking for a 769RF part from my existing fan, I couldn't believe there was a part that was exactly the same. what i needed. Uninstalled old ones, installed new ones and voila! Excellent. I'll share this, when I turned it on the first few times it started up loud, but after a few seconds it was a faint buzz. I think it needs to be run multiple times for it to work. Assembly: Take off the plastic diffuser (pull on one of the longer sides), take out the bulb, unscrew the wing nut and remove the outer assembly - done. I need to disable this node to remove it completely. Then you need to loosen a Phillips screw. Then the 9x9 engine assembly part is folded and removed after separating. Then install the new assembly, connect the lamp assembly and replace in the reverse order that you removed it. Very easy. Bring a tall ladder and a flashlight on your forehead as the fan/light must be turned off prior to installation.
