These wind deflectors are good enough and do the job, but I want to be clear that your vents MUST be metal. I assumed my vents were metal because what else could an air conditioning vent be made of? But when I decided to attach them to my air vents, I found that the magnets don't work at all. My vents appear to be metal and when I tap them with my fingers they "appear" to be metal, but they are definitely not capable of holding magnets. to force them to stay there. The solution for me was to use velcro on each side of the deflector. (see photo) It worked wonderfully and I am very happy. Just buy duct tape and attach one strip to the vent and the other to the AC air deflector (on each side of the vent) and it will definitely hold them in place. And nobody can tell for sure unless you look closely. Notification to manufacturer/seller: Enclose alternative attachment such as Velcro or clips. I have to assume I'm not the only one who found out that my fan shrouds aren't magnetic.
