It took me less than 3 minutes to connect my remote control to the LiftMaster. This only really works for those with the purple button. Just a tip for those who might need help. The purple button is always on the right, and the red and green buttons are always on the left. There will also be chords coming from the LiftMaster that match the color of the button. If you can't tell what color the button is because it's faded, look at the color of the cord. So you know which LiftMaster universal remote control you should buy.
