At first everything worked perfectly out of the box. But then I noticed that the screen flickers sometimes. I can't say exactly what will work, but when the monitor is in eye protection mode there is no flicker at all. I have yet to test the monitor with a different HDMI cable than the one that came with the monitor and I'm not sure if it is related to that or the power cord. Otherwise, the screen itself has no flaws. I wouldn't recommend it as a gaming monitor just because it doesn't have enough frame rates for some games. I haven't tested Game Mode on this monitor either. I would say it would be a good monitor for work, surfing the web, watching movies and more. However, one has to keep in mind that this is the bottom of a curved 4K monitor. It's a cheaper monitor than other high-end 4K monitors and behaves pretty much like one. I would not recommend or discourage anyone. To be honest I think it depends on what monitor you get because it's like flipping a coin whether you get a fully functional monitor or not.
