- I have tried both devices - 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. - The 2.4 GHz device is connected via a dongle or via a USB cable (included). USB is a standard connection (Micro-USB-A), good quality and you can use your own longer/shorter cable if needed. - The Bluetooth device is connected via Bluetooth, USB cable, -OR- 2.4GHz. It comes with a dongle for use at 2.4GHz (the dongle is NOT a bluetooth dongle - your device must be bluetooth capable). - I've tried all connection methods, they all work fine with Windows 10, plug and play, no problem. - The key is kept on the back of the device and my only complaint is that it's not held there very securely (can fall out) and has NO name of the device or any indication of the key type. So I recommend tagging it yourself, keeping it somewhere else and not losing it lol. - The stand is optional - the stand doesn't have power, it's just a slightly weighted stand to hold the device if you want. - It's good. Price for a 3-in-1 device. If you don't need all three connection methods, there are cheaper options — less than $20 for a wired scanner, $30 for a 2.4GHz scanner, maybe a few dollars more if you need a stand. via USB. The battery life is excellent, I only use it occasionally, it lasts for weeks between charges. - Features a flashlight/backlight - illuminates the area while scanning so works in the dark and also helps scan better outdoors or near lots of natural light. However, the backlight is quite bright, it hurts the eyes. There are no settings to disable or reduce this. - Normal / medium function. Comes with a booklet in case you need to adjust your bedtime, language, etc. You must be at least 4 inches away to read them. The scanning accuracy is perfect. There is very little delay compared to our more expensive branded scanners. , just a split second, hardly worth mentioning No complaints.
