Magnets hold the lights well, but the 3 AAA batteries do not last long.
The adhesive-backed magnets work well to hold these lights anywhere you want them. Each light requires 3 AAA batteries for power. The battery requirement is too costly and too wasteful if you need these running at their full brightness level. I use them to illuminate the inside of my shower from above, so I only use them when bathing. After a daily shower of 5-10 minutes at full brightness, they began to dim to the point of uselessness after about 6 weeks. If I want to keep them at full power, I would need to replace 9 AAA batteries every 1.5 months. Or 72 AAA in a year. Seems too wasteful for me.
