I am completely amazed by all the positive reviews. This thing didn't work for me at all. The rubber is too thin and flexible, so it's difficult to get a strong push, and the bottom part immediately folds on its own. Once the bottom is flexed, the plunger is completely inefficient, just splashing water everywhere because of the sag pointing to nowhere. And when the bottom is folded up and looks like a donut, it collects a wad of eau de toilette that doesn't come out and it's almost impossible to roll it up to try again. I had to use my hands to pull it out again and sure enough all that nasty stuck water ran right into my hands. horror! I have decades of experience diving with different pistons in probably a dozen toilets, so I'm pretty sure this isn't user error. The toilet in my current home is a bit finicky so I was hoping this supposedly sturdy plunger would be an improvement. When it arrived I threw away the old one. bad idea. Not only does this not work as well as the basic wooden handle version, it does absolutely no good and my toilet still won't flush. And now I urgently need to buy a regular piston that works from Home Depot.
