Sometimes it pays to take a risk and buy a brand you've never heard of. And sometimes you get what you pay for. "XFasten Professional Blue Painters Tape" works. for a day or two. However, this will NOT work for long-term projects. Glue sucks. So, yes, it will come out of your project pretty well without doing any harm. The problem is, if you have a long-term project that you're doing little by little, IT WON'T WORK. I have used masking tape from well known brands such as 3M, Duck etc and have stuck with it for weeks with great success. (Hell, I just found a piece of Duck tape that had been in place for a YEAR and still came off with no damage.) But the XFasten tape will cure in a couple of days. So if you have a short-term project, great! Use it. But if you have a LONG TERM project, DO NOT USE THIS TAPE. Also, the material itself is a bit "thin" which makes it easy to tear/cut this tape whenever you want. but even if you don't want it. And all around just cheap shit and poorly made. Masking tape isn't necessarily a bad thing, though, as you usually just peel it off and throw it away. So it's not "bad". It's just not great either. If you have projects that have rough edges or projects that will take longer than a day or two, avoid this tape. Personally, as I'm more prone to lengthy projects due to not being as mobile as I used to be, or prone to using things in ways that are probably not intended by the manufacturer, I will never buy this tape again. The brand names fit my tape needs much better than XFasten. But again, if you start projects in a day, it works and you'll save a buck or two from brands you know and trust.
