Suitable for replacing an old hard water filter.
Used to replace the aerator in my kitchen sink. We have pretty hard water and needed a new one. I tried soaking the old one in white vinegar, which worked, but it was necessary to restore water pressure. Keep in mind that this is a 2.2 GPM aerator compared to the lower 1.2 GPM aerator. Most of the stores I tried to shop at locally did NOT have the 2.2 GPM version, they only had the 1.2 GPM version. Make sure you know which one you have so you know if it will help with your water pressure. I highly recommend
