Not installed yet, but good simple device.

Has float and releases air thru orifice when air pushes water and float down. Closes when chamber fills with water. Air will always push float down but unit should be placed at high point of water inlet to tank (or near pump) to trap all the air so faucets don't jump.

Pros

Very solid and well constructed! Worked like a charm to prevent air damn in my bilge pump!

Cons

The valve may not be able to accommodate large water demands, resulting in decreased water pressure or flow
