Review on πŸ”§ Universal Double-Cut Jig Profile T-Tracks with Pre-drilled Mounting Holes - CLEAR STYLE Woodworking Intersection Kit by Nathan Hutchinson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not perfectly finished

The description says 'just perfectly finished' and that couldn't be further from the truth. The corners cut on them to form a four-way intersection are appalling at best. The first picture I added shows 2 pieces bumped at the corners and a third straight side to show the gap. On the 2nd picture you can see all 4 details and the distance between the cuts. It's not one that's far away, but all 4 are a bit out of the way. The third photo shows another set I bought. It's just a little, but it's still wrong. Also, one of their pictures shows 6 inches in total and 3 inches from the vertical piece to the end. Well, the math is obviously wrong. 3" should be closer to 2 5/8". They are 3" to center (give or take 1/64"). Bottom line, if I needed near 45 degree angles I would buy a long pole and cut them myself (and saved some money). They will work (I'll get them to work), but I doubt I will in the future going to buy a crossover kit. I will say they paint/anodize them AFTER the cuts are made so all surfaces are black, which I wouldn't get if I carved them myself. While it wasn't part of this article, I bought 2 36" rods from them and they are perfectly straight (I even rotated one 180 degrees to make sure they weren't perfectly bent together.) And they will not supplied with screws. It doesn't say they come with screws, but it doesn't say they don't have them either.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not sure
