Assembly and installation is very simple and straightforward. I didn't like that the license plate bracket was plastic and felt cheap, but I only bought it for the lighting, so it's not a problem for me. I used them on a boat trailer for a 15ft boat and had about 1ft of extra wire. I don't like wire nuts or splice connectors and soldered all the connections. After soldering, I placed wire nuts on the joint and sealed them with electrical tape. I don't like it when my headlights don't work. The body of the light has a small drainage hole at the bottom of the body to drain condensation and water. The construction takes about 1 hour at a leisurely pace. I don't understand how they can claim to be submersible as they allow water into the hull. Bright enough I don't see the benefit of paying more for LEDs. I would buy again.
