Very glad I bought this product! Once you use it, you won't believe the amount of chemicals that are actually in tap water. After the first couple uses, the bottom of the boiling container starts collecting all these white chemicals and believe me it starts collecting a lot! The water that comes out after distilling is pure water, no chemicals, no nasty tap water taste, and certainly has brought me to the conclusion that I will always have a distiller in my house and will never drink tap water again :) I gave it 4 out of 5 stars simply because its not the most user friendly product, the top part of the boiling container is kind of hard to get off because it has no handles or anyway to grab it specifically. Also, the fact that you have to unplug it every time you fill the water is a little annoying, but these things are trivial because I don't regret buying this and want to keep my body away from unknown chemicals that the city puts in its water. it averages a gal per5-6 hours, I run my tap water on hot until it starts steaming and then use that water to fill the distiller and it cuts down about 30 minutes or so, so just a tip.
