These solar powered lights were easy to install on my fence and look very nice. I didn't notice a separate adapter for small pens in the packaging which was a little disappointing and I rated this product as average as the construction doesn't look durable or has a very premium look, obviously they are plastic. It was nice to see that they worked as expected and turned on automatically when the sun went down. I didn't notice anything to do with the motion detection when using them, and the light they emit is enough to see your keys or has a bit of ambient light, but not enough to be used as a primary light source. When purchasing please note that they will not fit standard goal posts which are typically 6" x 6".
