I first bought some TP-Link HS200 wall switches to control lights. Removing the previous switches and plugging them in was excruciating. But I was so impressed with their easy setup that the next time I bought HS103/HS105 forks. Now I can control many of my devices via TP-Link Kasa or Alexa app (or manually). But I am AFRAID OF THE SECURITY RISKS of giving my home WiFi username/password to a Chinese company. SOMEONE, um, could break into my router, computers, etc. and steal my banking details or set up botnets to launch malicious attacks. Therefore, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND using a router that supports 2 networks. Make sure you have separate passwords for them. Use the main network for all your PCs, phones and tablets and connect all these IoT devices to the guest.
