Review on Verbatim External DVD Writer Compatible by Todd Taniguchi

Just bought a new Mac without a CD drive - Needed a TurboTax boot CD drive (which we've used for years) - Ordered an external Verbatim CD drive based on reviews and product descriptions. Error! Permanent error - not compatible with the latest Mac OS software. Called Verbatim Support at 1800. Almost impossible to understand the person on the other end (India) + totally useless help - he said to ignore the "incompatibility" error message and use it as is - never worked properly. I had to repeat the problem description with the supporter's constant rejection many times - as if it was my fault. I felt convinced and of course disappointed. After many hours of testing, TurboTax was downloaded directly from TurboTax. Anyone interested in buying a used Verbatim external CD drive that doesn't work with the latest Mac OS software!
