I integrated the Aqara system into my HomeKit setup because it's the first system to offer inexpensive sensors and work with a Z-wave signal. This type of signal requires a hub but typically offers faster and more stable performance. I bought this sensor specifically to attach to my office chair so my house knows I've started work during the day. The touch trigger turned on the light/fan and turned on a colored light right outside the door that changed color based on my schedule. The system has had a few updates since I received it and hasn't had any issues in the last two weeks, but during my first use of the vibration sensor I noticed that it would get stuck in an activated state if it was constantly detecting movement for one longer period of time (e.g. when clipped to the office chair of a guy with severe ADD who was forced to work 8-10 hour stretches from home during the pandemic). The only way to fix this is to remove the battery from the device to force restart it. Overall, my experience was very pleasant and I recommend Aqara as a HomeKit security system and as a cost-effective way to automate your home with sensors.
