Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great headphones, don't listen to Nancy's negativity.

Let's start by saying that these headphones are quite small. I don't understand how so many people claim they are that big. They also claim to be "average". Little did I know the average height was under 5 feet. I'm 5'10 with a big head. Some people also claim that they have headaches. I don't think they know how to adjust the fit. I take the package and open it. I pull them out and try to find the right one. I adjust each side individually to fit the cups over the ears. STOPPING HERE would be a mistake as the top band is too tight on the head at this point. Then I make another click on each side. This relaxes the top band on my head instead of pressing on it. Today I wore these headphones for over 4 hours of gaming, watching movies and listening to music for the first time to test them out. My head did NOT get hot like people claim (and my ears). They were very comfortable. Weight doesn't matter much. They are only 50-80 grams heavier than my premium Beyerdynamic DT990 (600 ohm version). I'm a bit spoiled in terms of sound, as my sound card has been modified with new capacitors and specially soldered brown operational amplifiers. Paired with these headphones it's a hell of a combo. Compared to the premium DT990 headphones, Sennheiser's closed headphones have better bass and even more powerful mids. Compared to the Sennheiser 598, they outperform the 598 in terms of quality and comfort. Of course, just like the DT990, the 598 has an open back. Again compared to the Sennheiser HD700 they have better bass as they are closed with an open back compared to the 700 but the top of the 700 is much softer and nicer while the top of the GSP 600 is sharper. For me this is a simple fix by boosting the bass a bit at 32Hz and 60Hz. AGAIN compared to the akai Professional 50x headphones (which are so closed), the akai has better bass but severely lacks treble, it seems lacking while the gsp 600 is a bit harsh. All in all, you definitely get quality for the price. Anyone complaining that they sound bad is either using a cheap sound card or, worse, a cheap motherboard. In terms of microphone quality, I can only compare VS Fashion Microphone 5. Regarding the microphone quality. when it comes to picking up noise, the gsp 600 definitely picks up noise much more easily, which means it works more effectively when background noise cancellation technology is used. It works great with my noise canceling sound card and makes my sound crystal clear, while I also had to use acoustic echo cancellation for the same with the mod mic. This is not required! At this point of contention they noticed that I sounded much clearer and also picked up more of the low end of my voice where the trendy mic seemed to lack the bass of my voice. So overall a good clear mic so people can hear me clearly and properly. Overall I give this headset 5/5. I was looking for a headset for gaming as I use studio headphones with a mod mic 5 all the time. The studio headphones I have are mostly open, meaning everyone can hear what I'm hearing and I can hear what's going on in the room. Room. With them I can concentrate more on the game. Some people report that when using a microphone they speak louder because they can't hear themselves due to the soundproofing, personally I only notice this problem with dead silence. When a sound goes through the headset I don't even realize I can't hear myself because usually when you hear game sounds you can't hear them anyway! All questions that people raise are solved by them personally. The point of this headset is to use cups for the main power to keep it on the head. As I said, I have a big head, I don't need to adjust the "special" controls from above, they are already tightened. Switching those two top straps causes the earcups to press on my head even harder than they should. A person with a smaller head is likely to make one or two clicks, while a child will make three or four. I would recommend them for gaming, music and movies with the right sound card. Sennheiser recommends buying the external DAC 1000 or 1200 to drive the headphones properly in terms of "quality" and not so much that they are "difficult to drive" as even a mobile phone can drive these headphones. I would LOVE it if Sennheiser made a super crazy pair with the same mic but with its premium quality (HD600 or better), maybe less weight (not a big deal but a lot of people seem to complain) and maybe with a shorter cable . My sound card has an external volume controller that I plug all my headphones/mics into that is less than 3 feet away from me. A very short headphone cable would suit me.
