Solution for fast turn signal blinking response after installing LED light bulbs. Not designed for consistant working bulbs( Day time running light, fog light, headlight LED bulbs). Resistors may become very hot to melt plastic parts nearby. Warning: Load Resistors heat up like halogen bulbs. They get really HOT when working. Mount them on metal surface by screws(not included). Keep resistors inchs away from plastic parts. You may connect the wires with the splice taps provided(quick but maybe not solid). Or you may cut the wires and connect them more solidly. Usually each LED bulb installation requires one resistor connected in parellel (see picture below for instruction).

Doesn't work when starters and alternators are wet

They were used to fix hyperflares in my pickup truck when I switched to LED taillights. I used the included wire splicers and dielectric grease and they worked flawlessly for about 2 months. Then it was humid outside ANYTIME (including heavy dew), they didn't work and the hyperflare came back. When everything was dry, they returned to normal operations. Works, somewhat weak design.

Works to solve my hyperflare problem but the design is questionable. The spot where the red wires connect to the resistors (covered with black heat shrink tubing) seems weak and looks like it will loosen over time. I have had to remove the headlights 3 times to adjust the HID kit which I also purchased and unfortunately those connections already seem to be breaking. Also, I had to remove the headlights and fiddle with them. , because when I installed them, one turn signal was still flashing. It

Agree - Mediocre solution

Resistors work great! They do what they are supposed to do, but I judge them in the context in which they are presented. As a fix for the hyperfirmware. So they are not a good solution. I wish I had read the main review of this item before I bought it, I would have understood what would happen before I did it myself. My 2016 Hyundai Accent has no hyper blinking even with front shifters!

I used this in a 2016 Hyundai Accent for my switchable LED turn signals. I installed the lights and then tried them out to see if I was lucky I didn't need them, but I experienced a hyperflare. I ended up only needing 2 of these (one for each tail light) as they are wired in parallel. It was great because I don't think I could figure out where to put them on the headlights based on how the wiring is set up. Seems to work

I installed the front LED turn signal bulbs which should already have resistors in them. They didn't cause a hyperflare. When I later did the back with a different type of bulb, I had a hyperflare, but the bulbs didn't come with a resistor and the instructions said they might need a resistor. The purpose of installing resistors is to divert the electric current from incandescent lamps, which you will replace with LEDs. However, you shouldn't consume more than your particular car needs to avoid Hyperflare. I've found that 6 ohms isn't enough resistance and will therefore draw more current than you need (>2 amps). A standard incandescent bulb can draw between 1.75 and 2.25 amps, but the minimum requirement for a vehicle is probably around 1.2 amps. The problem with drawing more…
