The base was too small so I had to go through and pull them all out to fit the existing holders. It took a while, but reached the goal. If I had known, I would have just bought the pears myself.

I bought these to replace the ones that weren't working on my tree. I have transparencies and they got so light they looked white. I went to try to fix them and they were very hot. I had to throw out my Christmas tree and buy a new one because I didn't want to risk a fire.

There is a little green latch that prevents them from going into most cartridges. I used nail clippers to remove these tabs. They are too small for some sockets. I had to take the bulbs out of their sockets and some of them were still weak. Wouldn't buy again.

Bought to replace Christmas tree lights. I found that the bases installed on the bulbs did not match the bases of the existing bulbs on the tree. I had to remove the plastic sockets that were attached to the spare bulbs with the plastic sockets that were on my blown bulbs so the spare bulbs make proper contact with the terminals in the sockets.

The little tabs are perfect for what I was looking to replace on my pre-lit tree. My old ones were very hard to come by, but the new ones fit great and look like they came from the originals. My only complaint is that I only have 59 and one of the 59 was broken, also there was no broken glass from the broken one meaning it was broken before it was boxed! So out of my 58 I'm happy, but I deducted a star for shorting out!

Read other reviews about the too small base. Incandescent bulbs work well and give a nice warm glow. The glass bulbs are perfect for my tree. That's the problem. The green plastic base that holds the glass bulb doesn't match my tree or any of my garlands. You are too small. I need to remove the glass from the green base and insert it into the old green base of my Christmas tree lights. If the green plastic base of your tree/garland is damaged, you're out of luck. You can just buy glass bottles…

I bought these for a pre-lit Christmas tree that had blown bulbs. was super picky. When I close the shutter, the light goes out. I would have to rotate, pull out the pins and leave them unfastened for this to work. I then looked at the base and it was a bit shorter than the original bulbs. After reading another review I then took the new bulb out of the new socket, put the new bulb in the old socket and snapped it back into the tree and everything worked great.
