Adjustable Shower Head Extension Arm Review

With two of these arms, combined with a matching showerhead, I (a 1.80m man) can stand right under the rain shower and have space. It's in a standard tub with a 5 1/2 foot tall shower tube that used to require everyone to crouch down to wet their heads. Now it is much more comfortable to stand directly under the nozzle. In addition, we can now use a lower flow rate because the water is evenly distributed over the entire rain shower head.

I looked at a few enhancements before pulling the trigger on these based on the positive reviews. I've seen several reviews where people have complained about the alignment of the extender when it's attached and screwed down. Well made overall but wasn't easy to install. This is because the extension needs to be screwed into the shower pipe and aligned almost perfectly so that the shower head is pointing down. This didn't happen as the seal on the extension ran into the shower pipe and couldn't be properly squeezed to rotate for proper alignment. Please avoid this product and buy another extension cord. You will thank me. The lock nuts are terrible. The almost positive mine was used and not new because it came without clothes. It is quite difficult to take something apart when it has never been used and is brand new. Purchased for use with rain shower. The extension itself is very high quality, heavy gauge brass and chrome. As you can see in the photo it has two adjustment points, both controlled by a manually operated wing nut. The first hinge controls the angle of the rod/showerhead up and down, moving the showerhead higher/closer to the wall or lower/away from the wall. The fit and brushed nickel finish on this bracket is great and matches my existing shower head as well as my Delta Ignition2 kit. They include a small teflon band ring which was much appreciated. I ended up removing the screen and washer to get everything right and just secured it with the included teflon tape to keep it from leaking.
