Fiction! in Protective Gear

I started Krav Maga a month ago and was told I needed a groin guard. After researching various groin guards and reading many reviews, I decided on this groin guard and was very satisfied! I wear it to every class and it has proven its ability to protect against kicks. Also, it doesn't move when I move. All in all this is an amazing groin guard and I would recommend it to any woman in need.

Not suitable for petite women

Did you know that sanitary napkins and underwear come in different sizes depending on a woman's petiteness? Groin guards also need this type of size, just like men's groin guards come in different sizes. This one size does NOT fit many petite women including myself and some of my fellow athletes (5'0" to 5'4"). It is too wide and very painfully digs into the surrounding muscles and bones, causing not only superficial pain but also pain in the pelvic floor. This can lead to chronic pain, as well

Perfect for SCA fights

I bought this for SCA fights. I love that it comes with a small pouch for storing or washing. I found them fairly easy to set up and try on, although it took me a while to get used to the two leg straps, but when I put the jeans back on I forgot I was even wearing them. I feel fully mobile and nothing scratches or rubs. I took a few hits and they were well distributed by the plastic and the rubber exterior softens the hit a bit. There is no gasket under the purple plastic, but I didn't feel I…

Great for hockey and martial arts

I wear this for hockey. The women's pelvic protectors that come with women's jock or jill sock garters are ridiculous. Looking at my husband's mug, which was heavy plastic with a thick silicone band on the outside, I got the feeling companies like Bauer were joking about their Jills. The Bauer or Jill cymbal protector is a lightweight plastic with foam bonded to the back. I keep forgetting mine in my pants and throwing them in the laundry, and Bauer's gets destroyed a few times later. However…

A must for women in combat; but uncomfortable lines.

I bought this for my muay thai fights after finally getting fed up with knees and forward kicks to the pubis that were causing me to swell for days or even weeks. When this happened I tried while sparring and during my first round my sparring partner knocked me down during the clinch but fell with me and landed his knee right on my crotch; I was very thankful that I wore it that day and happy to report that I left without a single bruise. An indispensable thing for those who are engaged in…

I was so happy I had to buy a groin guard

I bought this for my fiancee and this is what she said I attended a last minute muay thai match that required and actually applied protection to the bar. Since we had never thought about it before, we had to order one quickly. The assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired, but when you watch Lo-Bloo's video it all makes sense. I was doing a quick 5-5-5 (5 rounds of rope, 5 shadow boxing and 5 bag lifts) cardio two days before the match and it only really caught my eye at first because I…

Expensive but necessary and it does the job.

TLDR: I think it's overpriced for what it is, but it works well and I needed it. I do HEMA and wanted something to protect my groin. There aren't many options, but that's exactly what I wanted. I wanted something to wear on the outside of my pants - I have foam shorts that I wear over my pants and I wanted it to be somewhere in between. It's uncomfortable to wear under pants, but it works pretty well between those two layers. Don't try to wear it like you see men in cups. If you want, it should

It's heap guardian! Dress and forget

When I first got this, it took me a while to figure out how to put this thing together. The instructions had pictures but no words. After fiddling around I managed to put it together. The band is elastic and can be stretched. The strings are also adjustable. The strings won't stay in the holes so I tied the ends of the strings together to hold them in place. Another user mentioned a similar problem. This seems pretty low to me as it's a bit smaller than expected (small to medium hand size); The
