brows too! - Art supplies and tools

I have two of these. One for paint and one for beer. The best way to mix homebrew, 2 minutes and I can mix powder or liquid malt. Suitable for any mix. I wouldn't use it on concrete or grout as the plastic is soft. For a couple, it works with both 1 and 5 gallon buckets.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive

Great for mixing chemicals in a backpack sprayer

I bought this herbicide chemical mixer for my 4 gallon backpack sprayers. I didn't really know what to expect but wow! This thing mixes liquids incredibly well, creating a turbulent, high-velocity swirling flow of water, but without much splashing or sloshing. This works a lot better than I had hoped. I use a cheap Ryobi 18V drill for this and it's crazy how well it mixes.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons

Worth a lot more than it's worth; easy to clean

This thing did an absolutely fantastic job of mixing the thickest mix imaginable. I used it to mix paint rollers for a bedding that has rubber particles in it. The nozzle worked without a single problem. The polymer blend they use for the blades is pristine. On the first mix I managed to clean it with water. With an oil based compound I was able to wipe it off with acetone. Both samples gave flawless purity. He had no problem mixing gallon formulations.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons

good value for money, worked very well

I used this tool to mix gooey clear epoxy and it worked great and saved me a lot of time compared to mixing with a paint stirrer. I'm sure it mixes a lot more thoroughly too. The mixing paddle is non-stick, so the cured resin came off right away and it looked like new again, except for a bit of residue on the metal rod. I bought several of these tools thinking I would have to throw them away after using them once, but the non-stick materials have allowed me to use them over and over again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Necessary! - Paints, wall care products and accessories

I don't know what I would do without! This is much faster and more thorough than with a stirring stick. It cleans great too. I keep a cup of soapy water (for latex paint) nearby when I paint, so when I'm done mixing I can throw it in the soapy water until I need to mix again. I wring out the water, add it to the paint and mix some more. At the end of the day, I spray Nine Spray (from Home Depot and Revain. It's also great for brushes), rinse and that's it. This is also suitable for liter jars…

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some little things

Saved me from Popeye's hand!

This well made contraption did in two minutes what would probably take me 1/2 or more time if I did it by hand. the liquid on top was almost transparent. This blender quickly blended the contents of a gallon and required almost no effort. I'm pretty sure I'd throw the paint away if I had to use a traditional wood paint stirrer. worth EVERY dollar! Just make sure to *read* the instructions. Putting it in a cardboard box will prevent you from splashing. (Don't ask me how I found that out. LOL!)
