My bean puree ended up with hundreds of little blue lumps. Variable speed is something I've never seen in a mixer, immersion or anything else. It is great. The product is advertised as "dishwasher safe". For real? As? The blade will not detach from the hollow shaft and the shaft will not detach from the plastic cone that secures it to the motor housing.
