🎨 Arches Watercolor Paper Pad, 140 LB, Cold Press - Ideal for Artists, 9"x12 Review

The best thing about this paper is that it's the only paper I've found for Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Mixed Inks. The mascara blends beautifully! I would like the same quality on white paper. But I take great pleasure in mixing ink. Whereas before I absolutely hated working with colors. I could never get a smooth mix that I was happy with.

I was rather skeptical when I bought it, but I took the risk anyway. Since I only use pencils and graphite, I was looking for a paper that could properly soak up the medium for the layers of depth needed for realistic work. This was my first time using Arches paper. I had high expectations and they were definitely met. I especially like the thickness and stiffness of this paper. It doesn't warp or warp as much as many other papers I've used. It holds up to tons of wet washing, scrubbing and repeated glazing very well.
