This is the side collar I use on my Shepherd Lab mix. He could undo and put on smaller collars with just a latch and hook. This remains and cannot simply be thrown. The bright red makes it stand out from the crowd.

This is our third collar for our labs. They play very hard and the first one we bought for our Maggie is worn out. Charlie (he weighs 109 pounds) is still like new. They are thick and durable. We will continue to buy these.

As soon as I opened the box I knew this would keep my crazy 130lb moose under control. There was nothing in pet stores that even came close to this collar. Six months, hasn't stretched or even opened the eyelets. Fiction.

This collar was worn less than 10 days on a 65 lb dog and fell apart. The mist floated free. I found the collar in the yard at the end of his chain. The D-ring is completely missing, the levers through which the belt runs are completely open. Very bad quality. Thank god we were at the back of our property clearing the bushes when the dog ran over and we caught him before he got onto the road and got hit or grabbed.

Love love love this collar! I used to be able to find thick collars for my pit bull but in the last year they seem to have disappeared. I stumbled across these and bought two, one for her and one for my dane/pit mix. They are sturdy, thickly lined and of excellent quality. Admittedly she was incredibly strong and I doubt this would be a common problem for too many others but the reality is this part of the collar didn't work for us and may not work for you. Everything is perfect with this collar and just as expected! The sharp look and color have not faded despite being used with my dog in and out of the lake and constantly in the sun all summer. A minor complaint is that since he wears it on the largest or second largest holes, the tongue slips out of the loop holding it.
