Didn't toast properly after 3 months

I bought this toaster to replace the same model I had for 10 years (until it stopped working). Although technically the same toaster, the quality was much worse than the one I had before. It looks like a toy toaster. But it worked. But only for three months. If I now set the maximum toast, the bread hardly browns. Of course, the time to return is over! No more Cuisinart products for me!

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Was damaged

Worst toaster I've ever had

Nice toaster but it doesn't work properly. The highest level hardly heats the bread, let alone toasts it. In order to get anything even remotely resembling toast, bread has to be toasted twice at maximum power and at the same time it is baked unevenly. The slits are short and barely fit into full slices of bread. If you enjoy tending to your toaster every morning, you should definitely buy one. Otherwise continue. I had better luck with my $17 Black and Decker model.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Poor set

Very CHEAP build and feel. It makes toast okay though.

Bought to replace a 10 year old 4 disc version of the same model. Looks like Cuisineart threw quality out the window. The old version felt solid, from the firm, quiet springs depressing the toast levers to the smooth turning of the temperature controls. The new model rattles like hell and the temperature controls are really, really loose. If it didn't have cuisine type written on it I would have guessed it was $15 instead of $60. It makes toast and looks okay, but I'll probably avoid Cuisineart

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • No instructions

I wouldn't buy it again

It would be a good toaster if it weren't for the bad design. It has nice wide slots for bagels; However, the slits are not long enough for the top of the bread (see image). Therefore, you must interrupt part of your break to toast. In addition, the cable is in the wrong place (see picture). design flaws. It is located in the center of the toaster, which prevents movement. The cord is usually located on the back of the toaster. The stainless steel finish is good, the toast gets crispy on bothโ€ฆ

Pros
  • even the old one understands
Cons
  • functionality

Good. Not great, but not bad

I've had a great toaster for over twenty years, but it was showing signs of wear, so I decided to replace it. The first toaster I bought came right back after I took it out of the box. It looked like a child's toy, so tinny and so light it moved and wobbled. I chose this toaster because of the wide base for stability and it was the same size as my old toaster. This seems lighter, not as stable and also unreliable. What else is difficult about making a great toaster? I will keep and use this one

Choose another brand

This toaster was disappointing. The first one we got was obviously broken - on several occasions the elevator didn't work but the coils kept heating up, causing bread and acrid black smoke to erupt throughout the house. Having been out of the kitchen a few times we were concerned about the fire. When it actually worked, it only heated the bread to the highest temperature, so you had to bake it twice to toast it. The company just replaced the device, but the long time it takes to toast the bread

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Long wait

Loose dial but warm enough

Very good product. It has wide slots, the bread sticks up so you don't have to catch it after toasting, and it has easy-to-follow instructions. There are two downsides. Both are minor. However, the second one annoys me so much that I deduct two stars from this product. 1) It was packaged with a paper medallion attached to a lever. It was awkward to remove and risked scratching the toaster. 2) Annoying dial face. I love dials and wish they were used more on gauges than buttons or touchscreensโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
