Great for intended use. PUT ON YOUR BREATHING MASK!

Great for slitting* HardiPlanks, but thank goodness it creates a lot more dust than the 10" HardiBlade on my radial saw. I don't know why there are such big differences. .*yes, I know, fiber cement has no broken/cross grains, I mean longitudinal or short cut.

Great solution for fiber cement siding

Used on six panels of Hardie fiber cement siding with good results. Smooth cuts. A blade's diamond finish is critical when working with a tough material that destroys other blades. Be sure to wear a mask and/or avoid breathing toxic dust. My wife loves the look of the finished paneling in our house. It's worth putting the extra effort into the exterior wall, which gets 100 degrees of sun every summer.

  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Best Fiber Cement Disc

Coats my house in Hardie Fiber Cement. This thing worked great on my B&D saw. A bit pricey but worth it. If I had to do it again I would also buy a 10" for my table saw. It would make the job a lot easier. I put 60 panels on the house and there were LOTS of cuts. The blade wears out a bit but I think it will last another 60 years if need be and fiber cement is bad for blades.

Broken tooth... good for power tool parts and accessories

Usually my favorite Diablo saw blades. However, this one made me a little flabby. One of the teeth is broken. I can't say exactly when it broke but it looks like it should have lasted longer. Since we had to support part of the cement board while cutting, I can only assume that we must have hit something with the blade (other than the cement board). Anyway I will be buying another Diablo Hardie blade and hopefully not having a chipped tooth again.

In Love with Diablo Blades

I've made over 50 cross cuts in Hardiplank, the cut is quiet and runs like clockwork. The dust isn't bad (maybe 10% of a masonry blade). Tried a few with Stone Blade and it was awful. I also bought a Diablo wood saw blade and several circular saw blades and they cut 10x better than other blades. The receiver saw cut the 1/8" iron angle like it was plastic! I've never thrown away a $100 blade, so I can't comment on that, but I'd say the dollar-to-quality ratio for Diablo products just blowsโ€ฆ

Sometimes you have to pay a little more to get the right tool for the job.

I have just built a 4 bay garage and am in the process of cladding it with James Hardie cladding. Just before I got to work, I found out that I needed a special four-tooth diamond blade for my circular saw. I think I could use regular blades if I had a stack of these and didn't mind switching them every few cuts. According to one source, this sheet will last for five or six projects. Since I only have one project, this one blade is overkill. Cuts beautifully. Straight, true and almost withoutโ€ฆ

Read this review! the best circular saw

I'm replacing all the wood paneling in my two story house with a HardiBoard. After ruining a few saw blades I bought this for my 7-1/4 circular saw. I almost finished the house and the blade still works like new. The photo shows a piece I cut off after the blade had already made hundreds of cuts. I was still able to remove a piece thinner than a nickel without breaking it with a handsaw. The blade glides effortlessly through the HardiBoard and offers amazing precision compared to a traditionalโ€ฆ
