    Works great with EVA foam

    Being both water based and polyurethane based it works great with EVA foam mainly because it is flexible which is very important. I also have a gloss finish, which is fine too, but most of my projects call for a matte finish. Excellent stuff.

    Seems to work pretty well

    I use this to fix paint on vinyl dolls that I paint. It reduces the shine of the vinyl and makes it smooth. The only thing I don't like is that it's a bit shiny compared to some other similar brands. But it is mostly matte when using vinyl dolls.

    Good product, I recommend

    , I did some crazy research to find a polish that would go well with my polymer clay work when I paint it or sprinkle it with chalk pastes. It was a winner and to be honest it's pretty good. Just make sure you wait a day or two for the paint to be 100% dry or it will smudge right away.

    I will not use this for other projects.

    Does not work with water based coated acrylic paint and I do not recommend using with any type of clay based paint. The sound cracked badly and I had to redo this project. Water-based acrylic, dried for several days, immediately smudged. I will not use this for other projects.

    Unscented and easy to apply

    unscented so they could be used internally without worrying about irritating fumes. Easy to apply and dries quickly. Ideal for sealing painted rocks and just about anything you want to protect. Ideal for chalk drawing on small items such as picture frames or small craft items. It comes in matte and gloss finish. I have used both and highly recommend them.

    This is the worst polish

    This is the worst polish. I don't know if it's old stock that's been in storage for a long time or something. Pieces dried in this product, and after using it on the painting, the paint began to crack. I have no problem with the Dura Clear brand - I use the Dura Clear SATIN finish regularly, but this ULTRA MATTE is awful - again this could be old stock. I had to buy five bottles because they had a minimum purchase, now I'm stuck with this crap I'm afraid to use on pictures due to damage.

    Great outdoor sealer for dumb rocks.

    I recently joined a group that paints and hides rocks (in plain sight) so they can be found and hidden again. This is a bright spot in a world full of tensions. The group recommends using this product to seal the paint on the stones before hiding them. I like it for several reasons - I can just take the lid off and dip my brush in at no extra cost.     The best matte finish for my painted stones!

    Highly recommended! I use it as a permanent, scratch resistant top coat on painted rocks that I make and sell. While other matte finishes I've tried were still fairly glossy, DuraClear Ultra Matte was successful in reducing and almost eliminating gloss, allowing my projects to be more visible even in direct light. (It also made it easier to photograph my finished pieces!) The surface feels fairly smooth, although it's definitely rougher than Duraclear Gloss. I don't find its smell too strong…
