1 " hose flash too small

Very well made but hose flash too small for 1" PE pipe. I have other 1" burr fittings for 1.075" OD tubing. They absorb polyethylene tubing with little heat and seal carefully. This fitting has a hose barb O.D. of .980 inch. No heat and pinch seals against domestic well pump pressure (55psi). The NPT thread was perfect.

ATTENTION! A 1 " barb is too small for a 1 " PVC plumbing line.

The 1" NPT to 1" fitting looks good but note that the side of the pin is too small to fit standard PVC piping. There is a gap of about 1/16 inch between the fitting and the hose. I couldn't make it airtight. I am returning them because they are useless to me. I ended up going to a hardware store and bought some electroplated ones that worked properly to finish my project.

wrong size to fit 1 " black ABS pipe

Couldn't use them as planned to install my new well pump. When I install a nipple in an ABS pipe I heat up usually the end of the pipe with a heat gun as the fit is tight and makes installation easier. These fittings are inserted into the pipe with about 1/16" clearance. Impossible to pull tight enough to make an airtight seal. A 30 mile round trip to Home Depot for a barbed fitting that actually fits 1" ABS. I'm not sure what tube/tube size they are supposed to fit, but they definitely won't…
